You may probably think that there is nothing easier, than writing the last words of the work you have been conducted the research for, taking into account that you are well acknowledged about the subject you chose? Are you ready to sum you previously said words up?
You may answer “Yes”, because the hardest work is in the past already — the subject has been selected, the plan has been made and the proper words for the Introduction have been provided. Keep in mind that Introduction and the Conclusion are the most difficult parts of the paper. If your goal is to get the highest mark for it, you have to be ready to work really hard to create a very qualitative assignment.
When your subject is chosen by yourself, but not given by your teacher, you may consider yourself a lucky one. You are free to choose a topic your soul longs for and may express your opinion and thoughts in the way you like. The facts provided in the body of your paperwork can have the examples and profs from your own experience. What can be better?
To make your assignment more convincing the facts given by you can be scientifically supported. When you write about the subject you are very well familiar with, you may write without any extra help, such as the online writing services, and the reader will feel and appreciate this. But this is not a reason to relax and start writing an essay a day before the deadline. If you want to leave an imprint on the memory of your reader, you need to do your best to write a very qualitative Conclusion part.
A Secret of a Good Ending
Imagine that your paperwork is a vase you are going to present to your best friend. You have been working hard to buy a really qualitative vase. It is amazing but very fragile. To ensure that the vase will be safe and your friend will be completely surprised, you have to wrap it. Chose the most beautiful bowknot and make the gift finished. Do not overdo with decoration — the main surprise is inside.
The same can be said about your assignment. The only difference is that the “bowknot” is the last thing your reader sees. But it is still a decoration to the whole work. You need to do your best to end up beautifully because the last paragraph wraps up your essay. The more your reader likes the last words, the more chances you have to be remembered and get the highest mark.
How to Write the Last Paragraph
The primary thing you need to take into account is the volume of your work. If your essay should be 2 pages, the Conclusion should be at 3-6 sentences. In these sentences, you are expected to explain the subject which is under consideration once again but in the shortened form. Do not repeat or copy the expressions and sentences from the Introduction. You should represent the same idea but in the different form.
You may start the last paragraph with the words “In conclusion.” and in this way, your reader understands, that your work is coming to the logical end. On the stage of proofreading, you will be able to change these words for something else or to delete them at all. The readers are not used to focus on them, because they already expect, that the last paragraph will be the conclusion.
A good way to finish your work is to write a quotation relating to your topic. Do not grab the first quotation you find which contains the word your topic consist of. The more the quotation corresponds to the central idea, the better your conclusion is. It is desirable that the source of the quotation is as impartial as it can be.
Another option to use in the conclusion is to make your reader find an answer to a loaded question you put in the last sentence. Asking a question you may invite your reader to conduct some more research. As an option, you may impel him or her to act. Your reader also has a possibility to answer a question himself or herself when you leave the question without an answer. But be careful with this. As a rule, the last paragraph should leave a feeling of completeness.
The last paragraph is the part of the whole work where you finally can explain how your thesis can be applied practically, what kind of value it has and whether it can be investigated more detailed. Show the importance of the thesis represented in the beginning.
The Most Important Part!
Having finished with the draft of your work, namely with the final paragraph, read it once again. You are advised to read it aloud. Do not forget to proofread it. Proofreading is the key to the qualitative and successful work. Only proofreading will allow you to see the mistakes in grammar and lexis. You will be able to change the order of the sentences, substitute the words and make the important amendments.
Never write in the last sentences the new thesis and new facts. The sentences which provide the new points of view and opinions should be deleted.
After the detailed research, you should be very tired. Have a rest and ask somebody you trust to read your work. Your parents and friends will provide their comments and opinions. They may even propose to rephrase your last paragraph and it is up to you whether you agree with them or no.
Whatever variant of conclusion you choose, your target reader is to have a feeling as if he or she has taken a trip and finished it.
